Serious Sam Classics: Revolution combines Serious Sam Classic: The First Encounter and The Second Encounter into one updated release. Players once again control Sam Stone as he fights Mental’s enormous armies through ancient ruins, temples, deserts, jungles, medieval environments, and other locations filled with overwhelming numbers of enemies.
Alongside the two classic campaigns, Revolution adds new maps, additional enemies, another boss, updated engine support, Steam features, and improved compatibility. The core remains focused on constant movement and overwhelming firepower rather than slow cover-based shooting.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move quickly through large arenas while switching between shotguns, rocket launchers, miniguns, cannons, explosives, and other weapons. Enemy groups attack from multiple directions, making movement and target priority essential.
Campaign progression mixes exploration with massive arena encounters and boss battles. Multiplayer and cooperative modes allow several players to fight through the chaos together, while the included level editor and Workshop support provide additional community-created content.
