About This Game:
Shank is a violent side-scrolling action game about a former mob enforcer pursuing the people responsible for destroying his life. The story unfolds through stylized animated sequences while Shank fights through bars, streets, industrial areas, and criminal hideouts.
Combat is designed around rapidly switching between knives, firearms, heavy weapons, grabs, and environmental attacks. The hand-drawn visual style gives fights the appearance of an animated action comic while still delivering fast and aggressive melee combat.
How the Gameplay Works
Players combine light knife attacks with heavier weapons and firearms to create longer combinations. Enemies can be grabbed, thrown, shot, or finished with context-sensitive attacks.
Different weapons support different ranges and combo routes, encouraging players to switch equipment during fights instead of relying on one attack. Platforming sections and large bosses appear between groups of ordinary enemies.
