Marvel: Ultimate Alliance is an action RPG that brings together a large collection of superheroes from across the Marvel universe. After Doctor Doom forms the Masters of Evil and launches a coordinated attack against S.H.I.E.L.D., heroes including Spider-Man, Wolverine, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, and many others unite to stop a threat that eventually extends far beyond Earth.
Players build a four-character squad from the available roster and can freely change who they control during missions. Different combinations can also form recognizable Marvel teams, while character costumes, equipment, powers, and upgrades allow each hero to become stronger throughout the campaign.
How the Gameplay Works
Combat takes place from an elevated third-person perspective as heroes use basic attacks, grabs, special powers, and powerful Extreme techniques against large groups of enemies. Players can instantly switch between the four active heroes while the remaining members are controlled by AI.
Experience increases character levels and provides points for improving individual powers. Equipment and alternate costumes provide additional bonuses, while optional Simulator missions recreate famous Marvel battles and provide extra challenges. Cooperative multiplayer allows several players to control different members of the same superhero team.
