About This Game:
Shufflepuck Cantina Deluxe is a science-fiction air-hockey game about a stranded traveler who arrives at an isolated interstellar casino. The cantina is filled with unusual alien and robotic opponents, each willing to compete at the table while revealing more about themselves over repeated matches.
The basic rules are easy to understand, but opponents use different serving styles, speeds, special techniques, and defensive behavior. Winning matches provides currency and helps the player progress toward eventually escaping the planet.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move a paddle across their side of the table and strike the puck toward an opponent’s goal while defending their own. Angled hits can send the puck off the sides, making placement and reaction speed more important against stronger rivals.
Credits earned through matches can be spent on useful improvements and additional character information. Each opponent develops its own recognizable behavior, requiring players to adjust timing rather than using exactly the same strategy throughout the cantina.
