About This Game:
Spec Ops: The Line is a third-person military shooter set in a devastated version of Dubai that has been buried beneath enormous sandstorms. Captain Martin Walker and his Delta Force team enter the city to investigate the disappearance of Colonel John Konrad and the soldiers of the 33rd Infantry Battalion, but the mission quickly develops into a far more complicated conflict.

While the game uses the structure of a squad-based shooter, its story places heavy emphasis on the psychological consequences of warfare and the decisions made during the operation. Dubai’s ruined skyscrapers, buried streets, luxury buildings, and sand-filled interiors create a distinctive setting for the campaign.

How the Gameplay Works
Players control Walker from a third-person perspective and use cover while fighting enemy soldiers with assault rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles, machine guns, and other military weapons. Squad commands allow nearby teammates to focus fire on selected targets or perform certain actions during combat.

Sand is sometimes part of the battlefield itself, with environmental actions capable of opening new paths or burying enemies. The campaign includes firefights, defensive sequences, sniper sections, and difficult moral situations that contribute to different interpretations of the story. Ammunition can become limited during longer encounters, encouraging players to collect weapons from defeated enemies.
