About This Game:
Spider-Man 3 is an open-world superhero action game inspired by the third Spider-Man film while also introducing additional characters, villains, and storylines created for the game. Players take control of Spider-Man across Manhattan, using his web-swinging abilities to travel between missions, stop crimes, fight gangs, and confront a mixture of familiar and game-specific enemies. The black suit also becomes an important part of both the story and combat.
The city can be explored between story missions, giving players freedom to move across rooftops and streets rather than following a completely linear path. Main missions are joined by side activities and separate crime storylines, creating several threats for Spider-Man to deal with throughout the campaign.
How the Gameplay Works
Traversal is built around web swinging, wall crawling, jumping, and climbing across Manhattan. Players can quickly move between buildings and reach mission locations without relying on vehicles. During fights, Spider-Man uses punches, kicks, aerial attacks, web techniques, grabs, dodges, and contextual moves to deal with groups of enemies and stronger individual opponents.
The black suit provides access to more aggressive combat abilities and increased power during certain parts of the game. Missions can include street fights, pursuits, rescue sequences, boss battles, and indoor encounters, while activities around the city provide additional objectives outside the main story. Progression unlocks more moves and combat options as Spider-Man completes missions and advances through the campaign.
