About This Game:
Stela is a cinematic side-scrolling adventure following a young woman traveling through a mysterious world approaching its final days. With very little direct explanation, the game communicates its story through ruined environments, dangerous creatures, strange rituals, and large-scale events happening in the background.
Its focus is atmosphere rather than dialogue-heavy storytelling. Players move through forests, abandoned settlements, underground structures, and other threatening locations while witnessing the collapse of a civilization they know little about.
How the Gameplay Works
The character runs, climbs, pushes objects, activates mechanisms, hides from enemies, and solves environmental puzzles while moving steadily forward. Many encounters are built around timing and observation, requiring players to understand a threat before safely passing it.
Stealth sections involve avoiding creatures rather than fighting them directly, while larger cinematic sequences introduce chases and environmental dangers. Puzzles remain integrated into the scenery and usually depend on manipulating nearby objects or mechanisms.
