Survivalist: Invisible Strain is an open-world survival RPG set after a devastating outbreak has left scattered communities fighting for food, security, and trust. The world is populated by survivors with their own personalities, relationships, skills, and opinions, making human interaction just as important as dealing with infected enemies.
Players can travel alone or build a settlement, recruit survivors, construct defenses, grow food, trade with neighboring groups, and become involved in conflicts between communities. Procedural world generation gives each new game a different arrangement of settlements, resources, characters, and threats.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore the map gathering supplies, hunting, crafting equipment, and completing objectives while monitoring hunger and other survival needs. Conversations and reputation systems influence whether other survivors become friends, recruits, trading partners, or enemies.
Once a community is established, survivors can be assigned jobs such as farming, guarding, crafting, and gathering. Combat includes both infected and hostile humans, while stealth, ranged weapons, melee attacks, and tactical positioning can help deal with dangerous situations.
