SYNTHETIK: Legion Rising is a top-down roguelite shooter set during a machine uprising that threatens humanity. Players control an android fighting through hostile facilities filled with robotic soldiers, turrets, elite units, and bosses while constructing increasingly powerful combinations of weapons and items.
Gunplay includes features normally simplified in top-down shooters, including manual reloading, weapon overheating, recoil, ammunition management, and active reload timing. Randomized weapons can also have different properties, making two copies of the same gun behave differently.
How the Gameplay Works
Players aim independently from movement and use firearms with limited magazines. Ejecting a magazine and reloading manually becomes part of the combat rhythm, while a correctly timed reload can provide bonuses.
Items, weapon variants, class abilities, and upgrades create different builds each run. Several classes specialize in areas such as heavy weapons, stealth, engineering, or fast assault, while cooperative play allows two players to fight through the machine legion together.
