About This Game:
System Shock 2 is a science-fiction horror RPG set aboard the starship Von Braun and its military escort, the Rickenbacker. The player awakens with cybernetic implants and no clear memory of recent events, only to discover that most of the crew has been killed or transformed by an alien collective known as the Many.
The artificial intelligence SHODAN also returns and becomes deeply connected to the unfolding disaster. Audio logs, abandoned rooms, damaged systems, and surviving machines reveal what happened while maintaining a constant atmosphere of isolation.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore from a first-person perspective while using firearms, melee weapons, psionic powers, hacking, and technical skills. Character development is flexible, allowing specialization in combat, technology, psychic abilities, or combinations of several disciplines.
Weapons degrade with use and ammunition can be scarce, making maintenance and resource conservation important. Hacking can open security systems and vending machines, while research skills help identify alien objects and provide additional advantages.
