About This Game:
The Darkside Detective is a comedic point-and-click adventure following Detective Francis McQueen and Officer Patrick Dooley as they investigate supernatural cases around the city of Twin Lakes. Ghosts, portals, possessed objects, occult problems, and other strange incidents are treated as routine work for the city’s underfunded Darkside Division.
The game is structured as a collection of individual cases rather than one continuous mystery. Each investigation introduces new locations, characters, supernatural problems, and jokes while maintaining the same central detective duo.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore pixel-art environments, examine objects, collect items, and question characters using traditional point-and-click controls. Inventory objects can often be combined or used on environmental features to solve the unusual problem at the center of each case.
Puzzles remain relatively compact, keeping the pace focused on humor and investigation rather than extremely complicated adventure-game logic. Completing one case returns McQueen and Dooley to the station before the next supernatural assignment begins.
