The Fable: Manga Build Roguelike turns manga page composition into a tactical combat system. Based on The Fable series, the game uses pixel-art characters alongside collectible manga panels that represent attacks, movement, and other actions.
Instead of simply choosing a card and immediately performing it, players arrange panels across a manga page to determine the sequence of actions that will occur. Different protagonists provide their own combat styles and encourage very different approaches to constructing each turn.
How the Gameplay Works
New manga panels are provided during turns and must be positioned on the available page. Their placement creates an action sequence, allowing players to plan attacks and movements before watching the resulting sequence unfold.
Akira specializes in firearms and close combat, while other playable characters bring their own tactical abilities. Roguelike progression changes the panels and situations available between attempts, making flexible page construction important when a preferred combination cannot be recreated.
