About This Game:
The House of the Dead 2 is an arcade rail shooter where AMS agents enter a European city overwhelmed by zombies and other genetically engineered creatures. Players follow James Taylor and Gary Stewart as they investigate the outbreak and attempt to uncover the connection between the disaster and the mysterious Goldman.

The game moves automatically through streets, buildings, waterways, and other locations while enemies suddenly appear from multiple directions. Fast aiming and accurate shooting are important because civilians can also become trapped during attacks, and saving them can change the route taken through a stage.

How the Gameplay Works
Players aim at enemies while the camera travels automatically along predetermined paths. Ammunition is limited by magazine size, requiring frequent reloading between bursts of gunfire. Zombies can lose limbs or react differently depending on where they are hit.

Rescuing civilians and performing certain actions can open alternate routes through levels, changing some encounters and improving the eventual ending. Each stage concludes with a large boss that requires players to identify weak points while avoiding incoming attacks.
