THE HOUSE OF THE DEAD: Remake rebuilds the classic arcade rail shooter with modern visuals while retaining its fast journey through Dr. Curien’s monster-filled estate. AMS agents Thomas Rogan and G enter the mansion after receiving an emergency call and discover that Curien’s experiments have created an army of violent creatures.
The remake preserves the basic structure of the original while updating graphics, controls, and presentation. Scientists trapped throughout the facility can be rescued during the attack, and decisions made during the journey can lead through different sections of the mansion.
How the Gameplay Works
Movement through environments happens automatically while players aim a targeting cursor and fire at enemies appearing on screen. Reloading and accurate shooting become important because monsters frequently attack from several directions in rapid succession.
Original-style and Horde options provide different levels of enemy intensity, while scoring systems encourage accurate and efficient shooting. Local cooperative play allows two players to fight through Curien’s creatures together.
