Natural Selection 2 is an asymmetric multiplayer game that combines first-person shooting with real-time strategy. Marines and alien Kharaa fight for control of resource nodes, territory, and command structures while one player on each team can take a commander role.
The two factions play very differently. Marines rely on firearms, armor, and technology, while aliens evolve into specialized lifeforms built around speed, stealth, flight, or brute strength.
How the Gameplay Works
Most players fight in first person, capturing rooms, defending structures, and destroying enemy bases. Commanders view the map from above, place buildings, research upgrades, and support teammates with strategic information.
