About This Game:
The Punisher is a third-person action game starring Marvel antihero Frank Castle as he wages a violent campaign against organized crime. The story brings together original events and familiar Marvel characters while sending the Punisher through criminal hideouts, businesses, warehouses, streets, and heavily guarded locations.
Firearms are central to the action, but the game also gives Frank a variety of close-range attacks and environmental interactions. Interrogation sequences allow important enemies to be questioned for information, ammunition, or other advantages before players decide how to continue.
How the Gameplay Works
Players control the Punisher from a third-person viewpoint while using pistols, shotguns, rifles, submachine guns, and heavier weapons against groups of enemies. Weapons can be picked up from defeated criminals, allowing players to replace equipment as ammunition becomes limited.
At close range, Frank can grab enemies and perform melee attacks or interrogations. Special environmental interrogation points appear throughout levels and use nearby machinery or objects to intimidate enemies. A temporary Slaughter Mode can also increase Frank’s effectiveness when surrounded by large numbers of opponents.
