Enter the Matrix is a third-person action game that tells a story running alongside the events of The Matrix Reloaded. Players choose between Niobe and Ghost, two members of the resistance whose missions reveal events and characters that connect directly with the film’s larger conflict.
The campaign combines gunfights, martial arts, vehicle sequences, hacking, and cinematic scenes created specifically for the game. Each playable character follows a slightly different route, providing additional story material when both campaigns are completed.
How the Gameplay Works
Players fight enemies with firearms and close-range martial arts while using Focus to slow time and perform enhanced actions. Wall runs, dodges, acrobatic attacks, and slow-motion shooting reflect the exaggerated abilities available inside the Matrix.
Driving and shooting sequences change the pace between on-foot missions, while the hacking interface provides optional commands, hidden material, and additional unlocks. Choosing the other protagonist reveals alternate scenes and mission variations.
