The Matrix: Path of Neo is a third-person action game that lets players experience major events from the Matrix films directly as Neo. The campaign follows his transformation from Thomas Anderson into the One while expanding familiar movie scenes with additional fights and gameplay-focused sequences.
Martial arts, firearms, supernatural abilities, and slow-motion combat are combined to recreate Neo’s increasingly powerful fighting style. As the story advances, new abilities allow him to handle larger groups of enemies and perform moves that would have been impossible earlier.
How the Gameplay Works
Players engage enemies using punches, kicks, throws, weapons, and firearms while chaining attacks into martial-arts combinations. Focus abilities slow the action and enable enhanced dodges, powerful strikes, wall movement, and other techniques inspired by the films.
Neo gains additional powers as the campaign progresses, including stronger combat moves and abilities reflecting his growing control over the Matrix. Levels mix hand-to-hand fights, gun battles, platforming, and recreations of major encounters from across the trilogy.
