About This Game:
Visage is a first-person psychological horror game set primarily inside a large, mysterious house with a disturbing history. Players take control of Dwayne Anderson, who begins exploring the property while experiencing supernatural events connected to people who previously lived there. Ordinary rooms, hallways, and household objects gradually become part of an increasingly unsettling environment as the house changes and reveals pieces of its past.
The story is divided into chapters focused on different characters and events, including Lucy, Dolores, and Rakan. Each chapter introduces its own locations, puzzles, supernatural threats, and style of horror while contributing to the larger mystery surrounding the house. How the Gameplay Works
Players explore the house from a first-person perspective while searching rooms, collecting important objects, solving puzzles, and examining environmental clues. Doors, drawers, switches, photographs, keys, and other objects can be interacted with while searching for routes into previously inaccessible areas. Progress often requires understanding clues found around the environment rather than following straightforward objective markers.
Staying in darkness or witnessing disturbing supernatural events can reduce the character’s sanity, increasing the chance of dangerous paranormal activity. Players can use light switches, candles, lighters, and other sources of illumination to make exploration safer, while sanity-restoring medication can help during more stressful situations. Many hostile entities cannot simply be fought with weapons, so surviving encounters often means hiding, escaping, avoiding danger, and learning how each chapter’s supernatural threat behaves.
