The Run is an interactive FMV horror thriller following a successful fitness influencer whose routine turns into a fight for survival when dangerous killers begin hunting her. The story is presented through live-action footage, with the player’s decisions determining how she reacts and whether she survives the events unfolding around her.
Different choices can lead scenes in alternative directions, changing relationships, confrontations, and the ultimate outcome. This branching structure makes the experience closer to controlling an interactive horror movie than playing a conventional action game.
How the Gameplay Works
Players watch live-action scenes until important situations present several possible decisions. Selecting an option immediately changes what the protagonist does next and can open or close future story branches.
Some decisions provide little time to think, increasing tension during dangerous encounters. Poor choices can lead to violent consequences or death, while different combinations of decisions reveal alternative scenes and endings. Replaying the story allows previously unexplored routes to be discovered.
