About This Game:
The Stillness of the Wind is a quiet narrative farming game about Talma, an elderly woman who remains alone on the family farm while younger relatives have moved away to the city. Her days continue through familiar routines even as letters from distant family members suggest that the outside world is changing in troubling ways.
Rather than focusing on rapidly expanding a profitable farm, the game uses everyday chores to tell a personal story about isolation, age, family, and the passage of time. The slow pace gives ordinary activities greater importance as Talma’s world gradually becomes quieter.
How the Gameplay Works
Players decide how Talma spends each day by tending crops, caring for goats, making cheese, collecting eggs, preparing food, and handling other farm chores. There is limited time before evening, so not every possible activity needs to be completed each day.
A traveling merchant occasionally visits and can trade useful supplies while delivering letters and news from Talma’s family. These messages gradually reveal events happening beyond the farm and provide much of the game’s wider narrative.
