About This Game:
Tormented Souls is a survival horror game inspired by the fixed-camera classics of the genre. Players control Caroline Walker, who travels to the isolated Winterlake mansion after receiving information connected to the disappearance of twin girls. The investigation takes a horrifying turn when Caroline awakens inside the building and discovers that the mansion has been transformed into a nightmarish medical facility.
The game combines disturbing creatures with exploration, limited resources, elaborate puzzles, and environments designed to reward careful observation. Its presentation deliberately recalls older survival horror games while introducing modern visuals and controls.
How the Gameplay Works
Players explore rooms and corridors using fixed and cinematic camera angles while searching for keys, tools, ammunition, medical supplies, and puzzle objects. Weapons provide a way to defend Caroline, but supplies are limited enough that avoiding unnecessary fights can be useful.
Many puzzles require examining objects closely, combining information from different locations, or operating unusual machinery. Progress gradually opens additional areas of the mansion and reveals more about the missing twins and the disturbing events connected to Winterlake.
