About This Game:
Transistor is a science-fiction action RPG about Red, a famous singer in the city of Cloudbank who survives an attack by robotic creatures known as the Process. She discovers a powerful weapon called the Transistor containing the consciousness of a mysterious man and begins searching for the people responsible.
The city’s elegant futuristic environments gradually collapse as the Process spreads. Functions collected from defeated or fallen characters serve as both combat abilities and pieces of the larger story.
How the Gameplay Works
Red can fight enemies in real time or activate Turn(), which pauses the battle and allows a sequence of movements and attacks to be planned. Executing the plan performs those actions rapidly before Turn() needs time to recharge.
Functions can be equipped as active attacks, passive bonuses, or upgrades attached to another ability. The same Function therefore behaves differently depending on where it is installed, creating a large number of possible builds.
