Transport Fever is a transportation management simulation where players build a growing network of roads, railways, shipping routes, and air connections. Beginning in the nineteenth century, the game follows the development of transportation technology as small towns and industries gradually grow into much larger economic networks.
The goal is to connect passengers and cargo efficiently while keeping routes profitable. Trains, trucks, buses, trams, ships, and aircraft become available over time, allowing transportation systems to become increasingly complicated as new technologies replace older equipment.
How the Gameplay Works
Players construct stations, tracks, roads, depots, harbors, and airports before purchasing vehicles and assigning them to routes. Cargo must be moved between industries in the correct production chain, while passenger services require useful connections between residential, commercial, and industrial areas.
Vehicles generate income when carrying passengers or goods, but fuel, maintenance, and infrastructure create ongoing expenses. Cities can grow when their transportation needs are properly supported. In addition to open-ended play, campaign missions provide structured objectives based around the history and development of transport.
