TROUBLESHOOTER: Abandoned Children is a tactical RPG set in Valhalla, a city where privately licensed Troubleshooters work alongside law enforcement to deal with criminal organizations and increasingly unusual threats. The story follows Albus and the growing team he recruits into his own Troubleshooter company.
Its lengthy campaign combines character-focused storytelling with an unusually deep progression system. Every team member has individual abilities and specialties, while the extensive Mastery system allows hundreds of passive effects to be combined into highly specialized builds.
How the Gameplay Works
Battles take place on tactical maps using turn-based movement and attacks. Cover, range, status effects, character abilities, and turn order all influence the outcome, while missions can include large numbers of enemies and varied objectives.
Between missions, players adjust equipment and Mastery combinations to create different builds for every character. Later systems add further options such as powerful beasts and mechanical drones, giving the roster additional tactical roles during increasingly complex encounters.
