About This Game:
Vanguard Galaxy is a relaxing space sandbox that can either occupy the full screen or run along the bottom of the desktop. Players enter the Canis Major dwarf galaxy looking for opportunity and can earn a living through mining, trading, salvaging, combat, exploration, or a combination of all of them.

The procedurally generated galaxy contains dynamic NPC captains, ships to purchase, equipment to craft, resources to refine, and missions to complete. An autopilot system also allows many routine activities to continue while the player focuses on something else on the computer.

How the Gameplay Works
Players fly between sectors using a gate network and choose which activities to pursue. Asteroids can be mined, wrecks salvaged, trade routes exploited, and enemies fought for loot and profit.

Resources can be refined and turned into better ship equipment, while captain skills and hired crew provide additional bonuses. Autopilot can handle many basic jobs during idle play, allowing progress to continue with much less direct attention.
