Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior is a first-person shooter that presents the Warhammer 40,000 universe from the perspective of the T’au rather than the Imperium of Man. Players become Shas’la Kais, a Fire Warrior who is sent into battle during a rapidly escalating conflict involving Imperial forces and eventually even more dangerous enemies.
The campaign unfolds across a short but extremely violent period, beginning with a mission to rescue the captured Ethereal Ko’vash. Kais fights through fortified positions, ships, trenches, military installations, and other war zones while encountering several recognizable factions and weapons from the Warhammer 40,000 setting.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through linear combat missions from a first-person perspective, collecting different weapons and using them against Imperial soldiers, Space Marines, Chaos forces, and other enemies. Firefights range from enclosed corridors to larger battlefield areas, with new enemy types and weapons appearing as the campaign progresses.
Health, ammunition, weapon selection, movement, and target priority become increasingly important when stronger opponents enter the fight. Alongside the story campaign, the original game also includes multiplayer modes that allow players to fight in Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Capture the Flag matches.
