About This Game:
Wasteland 2 is a post-apocalyptic RPG where players command a squad of Desert Rangers attempting to bring order to the dangerous communities left after nuclear war. The investigation begins after the death of an experienced Ranger and gradually uncovers threats affecting settlements across Arizona and beyond.
The game places strong emphasis on player choice, with communities and characters reacting to decisions that may have permanent consequences. Skills outside combat are equally important, allowing Rangers to pick locks, repair machines, negotiate, disarm explosives, treat injuries, or discover information.
How the Gameplay Works
Players create a squad with different attributes and skills before exploring environments from an isometric perspective. Combat shifts into turn-based encounters where action points determine movement, attacks, reloading, and abilities.
Cover, weapon range, ammunition, armor penetration, and character positioning influence battles. Recruits can join the original Rangers, while dialogue choices and skill checks provide different ways to complete quests and shape settlements.
