What Lies in the Multiverse is a story-driven puzzle platformer about a boy who gains the ability to move between parallel versions of the same world. His journey brings him together with an eccentric scientist named Everett and develops into a strange adventure involving multiple realities, unusual characters, and darker consequences behind the colorful presentation.
The central dimension-switching mechanic changes both environmental layouts and the mood of locations. A safe platform in one universe may be broken in another, while objects, characters, and hazards can also differ between realities.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move through side-scrolling stages and switch between parallel worlds instantly. Obstacles that block one version of a room may disappear or change position in the other, allowing the player to alternate realities while jumping and solving puzzles.
Later challenges require faster switching and a stronger understanding of how both worlds fit together. Story scenes and character conversations appear between puzzles, gradually revealing the larger mystery surrounding Everett’s experiments and the multiverse.
