Worms Armageddon is a turn-based artillery strategy game where teams of heavily armed cartoon worms attempt to eliminate one another across destructible landscapes. Its absurd collection of conventional guns, explosives, animals, and experimental weapons makes battles unpredictable while still rewarding careful aiming and positioning.
The game supports both structured single-player challenges and highly customizable multiplayer matches. Terrain, weapon availability, turn limits, sudden-death conditions, team settings, and many other rules can be adjusted to create anything from competitive matches to complete chaos.
How the Gameplay Works
Players control one worm at a time and have a limited period to move, select a weapon, aim, and attack. Wind affects many projectiles, while explosions physically destroy the landscape and can send worms falling into water or into positions where later attacks become easier.
The weapon set includes bazookas, grenades, shotguns, mines, air strikes, ninja ropes, sheep, Holy Hand Grenades, Banana Bombs, and many more. Mastering movement tools and understanding terrain damage can be just as valuable as accurate shooting.
