18 Wheels of Steel: Extreme Trucker 2 focuses on some of the most difficult environments in the trucking series rather than normal highway freight work. Players haul oversized and dangerous loads across frozen roads, steep mountain routes, narrow rainforest tracks, remote wilderness, and other locations where one poor decision can end a delivery.
The sequel expands the locations from the original Extreme Trucker by adding new regions such as Montana and Bangladesh. Each area provides different road surfaces, weather conditions, scenery, vehicles, and cargo challenges rather than placing every job inside one connected open-world map.
How the Gameplay Works
Players choose available contracts and then attempt to deliver the assigned load before the deadline. Some jobs involve conventional tractor-trailers, while others use specialized trucks designed for unusual terrain or extremely heavy cargo.
Driving style has to change depending on the location. Ice roads require smooth control, mountain routes punish excessive speed, and narrow roads leave little room for correcting mistakes. Completing jobs unlocks additional contracts, vehicles, and opportunities across the game’s five extreme regions.
