A Bird Story is a short narrative adventure from the creator of To the Moon, following a lonely boy who discovers an injured bird. The story unfolds with almost no spoken dialogue, relying instead on animation, music, visual transitions, and a mixture of reality and imagination.
The experience is designed more like an interactive animated short than a traditional RPG. Ordinary locations can transform into dreamlike spaces as the boy’s imagination reshapes events around his relationship with the bird.
How the Gameplay Works
Players guide the boy through simple environments, trigger story scenes, and perform occasional interactions required to move the narrative forward. There are no battles, skill systems, or complicated puzzles, keeping attention on the pacing and emotional presentation.
