BioShock Infinite Complete Edition follows former Pinkerton agent Booker DeWitt as he enters the floating city of Columbia to find a young woman named Elizabeth. The seemingly idealized city quickly reveals deep political conflict, armed factions, strange technology, and mysteries tied to Elizabeth’s unusual abilities and Booker’s past.
The Complete Edition combines the main campaign with its major downloadable content, including the two-part Burial at Sea story and additional challenge material. Columbia favors faster movement and more open combat spaces than the earlier BioShock games, while the story remains focused on exploration, environmental storytelling, and unusual science-fiction ideas.
How the Gameplay Works
Booker fights with firearms and Vigors, supernatural-style powers that can burn, shock, possess, launch, or trap enemies. Only two weapons can be carried at once, encouraging frequent changes based on available ammunition. Skylines allow rapid movement around certain battlefields, and Elizabeth can open Tears that bring useful objects, cover, weapons, or hazards into the environment.
Gear provides passive bonuses, Infusions improve health, shield, or salts, and money can be spent at vending machines on upgrades. Elizabeth also supplies ammunition, salts, and health during combat. Burial at Sea revisits Rapture with altered mechanics and a more stealth-oriented approach in parts of its campaign.
