About This Game:
Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is a side-scrolling action RPG following Miriam, a Shardbinder whose body has been partially crystallized by demonic magic. She enters a vast castle summoned by her former friend Gebel and searches for a way to stop the demonic invasion while uncovering the truth behind the alchemical experiments that changed them both.
The game combines nonlinear castle exploration with extensive equipment, crafting, character statistics, and supernatural abilities. Enemies can drop Shards that grant Miriam new attacks or powers, greatly expanding the ways she can build her character.
How the Gameplay Works
Miriam explores interconnected rooms while fighting with swords, whips, guns, spears, boots, greatswords, and other weapon types. Defeated demons can occasionally provide Shards that summon creatures, fire projectiles, provide passive bonuses, or grant traversal abilities.
New powers open routes to previously inaccessible sections of the castle. Crafting, cooking, equipment upgrades, side quests, hidden rooms, optional bosses, and multiple endings provide substantial progression beyond the main path.
