About This Game:
Canabalt is a minimalist endless runner that helped popularize the genre by reducing the controls to a single action. The player controls a character fleeing across the rooftops of a city being destroyed around him, with buildings, machinery, and collapsing structures creating an endless escape route.

Its simple black-and-white visual style and fast soundtrack keep attention focused on reaction speed. The basic objective never changes: continue moving for as long as possible and increase the distance traveled before a mistake ends the run.

How the Gameplay Works
The character runs automatically while the player presses a single button to jump. Jump timing determines whether the runner clears gaps, obstacles, and other hazards encountered across rooftops and interior sections.

Speed gradually changes during a run, making familiar obstacles more difficult to judge. Expanded versions also include additional challenge modes, multiple runners, leaderboards, and two-player options beyond the original endless format.
