Raiden Legacy is a compilation of four classic arcade shooters from the Raiden series: Raiden, Raiden Fighters, Raiden Fighters 2, and Raiden Fighters Jet. Across the collection, players pilot heavily armed aircraft against enormous enemy forces attempting to overwhelm humanity.
Each included game follows the series’ fast vertical-scrolling shooting style while introducing its own ships, weapons, enemy formations, scoring systems, and boss encounters. The collection brings these arcade titles together in one package with additional options for modern PC play.
How the Gameplay Works
Players move a combat aircraft around the screen while firing continuously at enemy planes, vehicles, installations, and large bosses. Destroyed targets can release weapon upgrades and other power-ups that increase offensive strength during the current attempt.
Enemy projectiles become increasingly dense as stages progress, making precise movement essential. Different ships and weapon types encourage experimentation, while scoring systems reward players who learn enemy patterns and survive stages efficiently.
