Chicken Invaders 4: Ultimate Omelette is a fast-paced arcade shooter that continues humanity’s struggle against the intergalactic chicken invasion. This time, the chickens are preparing an enormous weapon capable of threatening the entire galaxy, sending the player on another journey through space to stop their latest plan. The adventure travels across 12 star systems and features 120 waves filled with increasingly dangerous chicken formations, environmental hazards, and large enemy encounters.
The game greatly expands the series’ weapon selection and cooperative options, offering nine main weapons plus a hidden weapon and support for up to four players. Weapons can be strengthened through multiple power levels, while bonuses and medals provide additional rewards throughout the campaign. Secret features and online high-score tables also encourage repeated play after completing the main journey.
How the Gameplay Works
Players control a spacecraft and move around the screen while firing continuously at groups of invading chickens and other hostile targets. Enemy formations arrive in waves and attack using eggs, projectiles, movement patterns, and other hazards, requiring players to keep moving while searching for safe positions. Weapon pickups increase firepower, while different weapons can be used depending on the type and number of enemies appearing on screen.
Weapons can progress through 11 regular power levels and reach a supercharged 12th level, giving players significantly stronger attacks during later waves. Thirty different bonuses can be collected throughout the game, while 15 medals reward different accomplishments. Cooperative play allows as many as four players to fight together, and online multiplayer support lets players host or join network games while progressing through the same large-scale chicken invasion.
