About This Game:
Cities in Motion is a public transportation management simulation focused on designing networks that move residents efficiently through busy urban environments. Rather than building entire cities from scratch, players operate a transport company inside existing cities where people already have homes, workplaces, shopping destinations, and different travel needs.
The Collection combines the core game with additional content that expands the available cities, vehicles, scenarios, and transport options. As urban populations change over time, transportation systems must also evolve to handle new districts, increasing traffic, and shifting passenger demand.
How the Gameplay Works
Players construct routes using buses, trams, metro lines, boats, and helicopters, placing stops and linking them into functional networks. Passenger behavior is simulated individually, so poorly positioned stops or overcrowded connections can reduce satisfaction and leave potential customers choosing other ways to travel.
Ticket prices, vehicle purchases, maintenance, wages, and infrastructure costs must be balanced against revenue. Different neighborhoods and social groups create different travel patterns, making route planning more important than simply covering the entire map. Scenarios provide specific objectives, while sandbox play allows greater freedom in developing a transport empire.
