About This Game:
Master of Piece is a turn-based tactical roguelike set in a medieval realm threatened by a mysterious Black Fog. Players recruit mercenaries represented as tactical pieces, combine their individual traits, and create parties capable of surviving battles against increasingly dangerous enemies and bosses.
The basic rules are intentionally approachable, but team composition creates much of the strategic depth. Characters with complementary traits can produce powerful interactions, encouraging players to experiment with different combinations instead of simply selecting the strongest individual fighter.
How the Gameplay Works
Players place and move their pieces across tactical battlefields before using available actions to attack enemies or support allies. Positioning matters because different units perform better in particular situations and can benefit from effects created by other members of the party.
New mercenaries and improvements become available as the journey continues. Since each run presents different opportunities, players need to assemble a workable team from the characters and traits they actually find. Major bosses provide the strongest tests of the synergies developed during the current expedition.
