About This Game:
Cursed to Golf combines golf mechanics with roguelike progression and puzzle-platforming ideas. After a promising golfer is struck by lightning moments before completing a championship, he awakens in Golf Purgatory and must conquer a series of supernatural courses to earn another chance at life.
Courses are far removed from normal golf layouts, containing spikes, explosives, teleporters, fans, water hazards, narrow passages, and other obstacles. Success requires finding creative routes through each hole while staying within a limited number of shots.
How the Gameplay Works
Players select a club, choose shot power and angle, and attempt to reach the flag before the shot counter reaches zero. Special statues placed around courses can restore shots when broken, making route planning important.
Ace Cards provide temporary abilities such as changing the ball’s direction, adding extra shots, or manipulating its movement after launch. Courses change between runs, and failing sends the golfer back through the challenge while permanent progression and accumulated knowledge make later attempts more manageable.
