About This Game:
Cut the Rope is a physics-based puzzle game built around feeding candy to a small green creature named Om Nom. Each level places a piece of candy inside a compact puzzle filled with ropes, bubbles, moving objects, spikes, air cushions, and other mechanisms that affect how the candy travels.
The basic objective is simple, but later stages combine several mechanics and require careful timing. Three optional stars are placed around most puzzles, encouraging players to find more efficient solutions instead of simply delivering the candy to Om Nom by the easiest route.
How the Gameplay Works
Players cut ropes in the correct order to make the candy swing, fall, or move toward Om Nom. The physics of each rope affects the candy’s direction and momentum, so cutting too early or too late can send it away from the intended path.
New mechanics are introduced gradually, including bubbles that lift candy upward, air cushions that push it across the screen, movable rope anchors, hazards, and other devices. Collecting all three stars usually requires additional precision and planning beyond simply completing the stage.
