About This Game:
Dead In Vinland is a survival management game about a Viking family exiled to an unfamiliar island. After reaching shore, the group must build a functioning camp, gather essential resources, deal with illnesses and injuries, and discover who else is living in the surrounding territory.
Every survivor has individual statistics, traits, relationships, and needs. New characters can join the camp, creating more opportunities for work and combat but also increasing the amount of food, water, and other supplies required each day.
How the Gameplay Works
Each day is divided into work periods during which survivors are assigned to tasks such as gathering water, preparing food, exploring, crafting, or improving camp facilities. Fatigue, hunger, sickness, depression, and injuries must be managed alongside the group’s limited resources.
Exploration reveals new areas, story events, and potential allies or enemies. When violence occurs, combat switches to a tactical turn-based system in which positioning, abilities, and the condition of each party member influence the outcome.
