DEADBOLT is a demanding side-scrolling stealth-action game where players control the Reaper during an uprising of the undead. Missions arrive through a mysterious fireplace and send the Reaper into apartments, clubs, warehouses, and other locations filled with zombies, vampires, demons, and dangerous armed enemies.
Although the Reaper has access to a powerful arsenal, he can die from a single shot. This makes careful planning important and turns even a small room into a potentially deadly encounter if enemies are alerted too early.
How the Gameplay Works
Players enter missions from a side-view perspective and can use doors, vents, darkness, melee attacks, firearms, and environmental opportunities to eliminate targets. Levels support different approaches, allowing careful stealth or faster aggressive tactics when the situation permits.
Weapons have limited ammunition, so dropped firearms and nearby objects can become important during longer missions. Enemy types behave differently and gradually become more dangerous as the Reaper progresses through the undead factions.
