About This Game:
Death and Taxes is a narrative simulation where the player works an office job as a Grim Reaper. Each day, files describing ordinary people arrive on the desk, and the Reaper must decide who lives and who dies according to instructions provided by management.
What initially appears to be routine paperwork develops into a larger moral and bureaucratic problem. Decisions can affect population trends, world events, relationships at the office, and the direction of the story.
How the Gameplay Works
Players read profiles and mark each person for life or death while trying to follow daily quotas or special rules. The instructions may be straightforward at first but later create difficult trade-offs between obedience and personal judgment.
Money earned from work can be spent on cosmetic or useful objects, while conversations with the boss and other characters provide additional choices. Repeated playthroughs can produce different outcomes depending on how closely the player follows orders.
