Death to Spies is a third-person stealth game set during World War II, placing players in control of Soviet counterintelligence operative Semion Strogov. His assignments take him deep behind enemy lines, where he must gather information, eliminate important targets, sabotage operations, and escape without exposing his identity.
The game emphasizes disguise, observation, and infiltration rather than constant gunfights. Large mission areas contain guards, officers, civilians, restricted zones, and multiple ways to reach important objectives, allowing careful players to complete assignments while attracting very little attention.
How the Gameplay Works
Players study enemy patrols and look for opportunities to isolate guards or other useful targets. Unconscious or dead characters can be searched for uniforms, keys, weapons, and documents.
