About This Game:
Depth of Extinction is a turn-based tactical RPG set in a flooded post-apocalyptic future where humanity survives on scattered islands and underwater facilities. Players assemble a squad and travel through dangerous regions occupied by pirates, machines, mutants, and other groups competing for limited resources.
The campaign combines squad development with procedurally generated missions and permanent consequences. Soldiers have different classes and abilities, making the loss of an experienced member particularly expensive during a long expedition.
How the Gameplay Works
Battles take place on grid-based maps where characters move between cover and attack using firearms or class abilities. Positioning, weapon range, enemy sight lines, and available action points influence how safely each turn can be completed.
Outside combat, players travel between locations using a submarine, recruit new characters, purchase equipment, and select missions. Squad members improve over time, but permanent death means surviving veterans need to be protected during increasingly difficult encounters.
