Descent: Underground was developed as a modern six-degrees-of-freedom spacecraft shooter inspired by the original Descent series. Its Early Access release returned players to twisting underground tunnels and large caverns where spacecraft could move and rotate freely in every direction.
The project was originally planned as a prequel to Descent and entered Steam Early Access in 2015 with multiplayer as its main playable component. Development later changed direction after licensing and publishing complications, and the project eventually continued under the name Ships That Fight Underground rather than reaching its planned full release as Descent: Underground.
How the Gameplay Works
Players pilot small combat spacecraft through mines, tunnels, and caverns using six degrees of freedom. Ships can move vertically, horizontally, forward, backward, and rotate along multiple axes, allowing enemies to approach from above, below, behind, or almost any other direction.
The Early Access version emphasized multiplayer battles where pilots used energy weapons, missiles, and different ship capabilities against one another. Tight underground spaces made navigation and spatial awareness important, while larger chambers created room for faster maneuvering and longer-range combat.

How to Install:
Extract the game using Winrar or 7zip.
Open “Descent: Underground” folder, double click on “Setup” and proceed install.
