Worms 2 is a turn-based artillery game where teams of cartoon worms battle across destructible landscapes using an enormous collection of conventional and absurd weapons. Matches combine careful aiming, environmental destruction, unpredictable physics, and humor as players attempt to eliminate every worm on the opposing team.
Each battlefield is filled with hills, tunnels, water, and other terrain that can be altered during combat. The wide weapon selection means matches can shift from carefully aimed gunfire to massive explosions and unusual gadgets within only a few turns.
How the Gameplay Works
Players take turns controlling one worm at a time and have a limited period to move, choose a weapon, and perform an attack. Wind influences certain projectiles, while gravity and terrain affect how grenades and other weapons travel. Explosions permanently remove sections of the landscape.
Weapons include bazookas, grenades, shotguns, dynamite, air strikes, mines, and numerous humorous options. Utilities such as ropes and teleporters help worms reach better positions. Matches continue until only one team remains, with customizable settings allowing weapon availability and other rules to be adjusted.
