About This Game:
Diablo 2: Lord of Destruction is the major expansion to Diablo 2 and continues the story immediately after Diablo’s defeat. Baal, the remaining Prime Evil, marches toward Mount Arreat in an attempt to reach the sacred Worldstone, bringing a demonic army into the Barbarian homeland.
The expansion introduces an entirely new fifth act along with the Assassin and Druid classes. It also greatly expands character development through new items, runewords, jewels, charms, class-specific equipment, and improvements to the mercenary system.
How the Gameplay Works
The Assassin combines martial arts, traps, and specialized techniques, while the Druid can use elemental magic, summon animals, and transform into powerful creatures. Both classes have full skill trees and can be developed into several very different character builds.
Act V takes players through the besieged Barbarian town of Harrogath, frozen wilderness, fortified battlefields, caves, and eventually Mount Arreat itself. Runes can be inserted into socketed equipment in specific combinations to create powerful Runewords, while charms provide passive bonuses simply by remaining inside the character’s inventory.
