Do Not Feed the Monkeys is a voyeurism and management game about joining a secret society that watches strangers through hidden surveillance feeds. Members are told not to interact with the people they observe, but the temptation to interfere is a major part of the experience.
The game mixes observation, information gathering, time management, money, hunger, sleep, and moral choices. Each monitored ‘cage’ tells a small story that can develop differently depending on what the player discovers or does.
How the Gameplay Works
Players watch multiple camera feeds, note names and clues, search terms on an in-game computer, answer calls, work jobs, pay rent, eat, and sleep. Information collected from feeds can open opportunities to contact or manipulate the people being watched.
Breaking the club’s rules can produce useful, dangerous, or unexpected outcomes. Progress requires buying access to more cages while staying financially and physically functional.
